O trase

The walk begins with the grey seals, close to the main entrance. Its first theme is life between water and land. The route continues to the pygmy hippos, inhabitants of Africa's wet forests. These very different mammals need water for different reasons: seals find food in it, while pygmy hippos depend on damp surroundings.

The paths then lead towards the lions. After visiting this part of the zoo, it is time for giraffes and cheetahs. This section brings together group cooperation, leaf browsing and fast pursuit. From the cheetahs, the walk returns along the main path towards the African penguins. The African story meets the sea again, this time through birds that raise their young on land.

The route then enters the great ape area: first orangutans, then chimpanzees. Tools, childcare and communication change the theme of the walk. Flamingos are the next stop, followed by the European bison at the end. The finale moves from a large bird colony to a family herd of animals also found in Polish forests. Use visitor paths between stops; enclosures and service roads remain outside the route.

Pro děti

You begin with the grey seals, then walk to the pygmy hippos. The first catch fish in the sea; the second eat plants in a damp forest. Both need water, but they live differently.

Next come lions, giraffes and cheetahs. You will learn about a pride of hunting cats, a leaf-eating animal and a fast runner. The path then leads back towards the penguins. Their wild home is in southern Africa.

Your next encounters are with orangutans and chimpanzees. Both apes can use tools, and their young need their mothers for a long time. Afterwards you see flamingos and reach the European bison, which also live in Poland. The walk passes through different parts of the zoo, so follow the marked paths between animals. Every stop tells you about a different way of life.
