The Great Hall, the Hall under the Ceiling and the Hall under the Zodiac are among the castle's oldest surviving interiors. They date from the 1640s, but none has survived without later alterations.
In the early 1780s, Vincenzo Brenna decorated the Brenna Apartment and the Chinese Apartment. Szymon Bogumił Zug designed the Turkish Apartment and the Column Hall in the second half of that decade. Working with Jan Christian Kamsetzer, Zug also designed the Princess Marshal's Bedroom and the Boucher Salon. The Rococo Salon and the Sculpture Gallery date from the same period.
Around 1800, Chrystian Piotr Aigner designed the Neoclassical Ballroom and Great Dining Room. Further changes came at the turn of the 20th century, when the Library, Corner Salon, Dining Room above the Gate and bathing rooms were fitted out. Many interiors from this last phase survive almost unchanged. The rooms represent successive stages in furnishing the residence, rather than a single period.
