O exponátu

The classroom recalls the 1950s and 1960s. It marks the end of the exhibition's historical range, which begins with the lives of the residence's former owners. Instead of another drawing room, it presents a chapter in the building's postwar use. A primary school operated in the Large Palace at that time. The room therefore illustrates a real change of function. The estate's history encompasses both a landowning family's home and a place where children studied during Poland's communist period.

This original classroom forms part of the exhibition about three centuries of palace life. It broadens the story beyond aristocrats and diplomats. Everyday school life belongs to the building's history just as much as the lives of its earlier owners. During a special educational programme, pupils practise calligraphy by completing prepared handwriting sheets. Careful writing combines looking at a historic interior with a practical task. It is an organised activity, rather than something promised on every individual visit.

Pro děti

The palace once housed a primary school. Its original classroom shows this part of its past, associated with the 1950s and 1960s. The exhibition covering three centuries ends in Poland's communist period.

Pupils visiting as part of a special programme can practise calligraphy, or careful, decorative handwriting. They complete prepared handwriting sheets. This belongs to an organised activity. The classroom itself recalls how a former estate owner's home became a place of learning after the war.
