Around Fort IV of Osowiec Fortress

Fort IV Nowy begins the account of concrete defences, barracks and a powder magazine. It is reached from the car park on Carska Droga; the official path forms a 4.3-kilometre loop from there.

The walk passes through pine woodland beside the ruins and moat. The next described stop is the platform above the water, where visitors may be lucky enough to spot a kingfisher or an otter. From there, the green-marked loop returns to the car park. Allow between two and four hours for the entire path.
