Gertruda’s ghost hologram show

Gertruda appears as a hologram in the adit bearing her name. The show presents a character from local legend, rather than an eyewitness account of the mine's history. In the story, the wife of a trapped miner decides to find her husband herself after a collapse. The owner has refused to mount a rescue because the exhausted workings are no longer valuable to him.

Gertruda enters the labyrinth with a torch and a small supply of food. She never returns to the surface. Later in the legend, miners who lose their way hear mysterious footsteps and follow them to the exit. They credit Gertruda's ghost with saving them, although they never see her. The hologram gives a visible form to the heroine, bringing the old legend into a modern underground show.
