Über das Objekt

Kohoutův dvůr originated as a Baroque farm complex belonging to the Sporck foundation estate at Choustníkovo Hradiště. Three buildings survive from the original premises: the residential house, granary and stables. The ornamental gateway bears a relief of Saint Florian, an image of the former courtyard and the date 1738. Statues of John the Baptist, Mary and John of Nepomuk decorate the portal in that order from the left.

The house has served the museum since 1978. Alongside permanent displays, it contains collection stores, a library and staff offices. It underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2012-2013. The former granary opened as another part of the museum in 1998. It houses exhibition spaces and a room for concerts and lectures. A panoramic lift was added in 2013 to make the historic building accessible to people with disabilities.

Für Kinder

The museum occupies former farm buildings. There was once a house, a granary for storing supplies and stables. All three buildings survive. The decorated gateway carries figures of saints and the date 1738. A relief also shows how the courtyard used to look.

The house became part of the museum in 1978. It now contains displays, a library and collection stores. The granary joined the museum spaces in 1998 and later received a panoramic lift. Buildings once used for farming have been adapted for exhibitions and meetings.
