Inhaltssprache
“Od doutníků ke kondenzátorům”, shown from 5 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, marks eighty years of Tesla Lanškroun. It explores the industrial history of one building and the changing uses to which it was put. The former tobacco factory became a production site for passive electronic components. The exhibition covers the Siemens & Halske period and the company’s later transformation into Tesla Lanškroun. The Ministry of Industry announced the establishment of the state-owned Tesla enterprise on 10 August 1946. The Lanškroun factory became Plant No. 52 and retained that designation within this structure until the end of 1949.
In 2025 the former tobacco factory building was demolished, bringing around 150 years of its history to an end. The exhibition traces changes to a building associated with local production for decades. The museum worked with its owner to rescue objects documenting successive phases of its use. Among the objects acquired was the clock mechanism from the factory tower, restored in 2025. Its survival provides a tangible record of efforts made before the loss of this former industrial building.

The same site once made tobacco products and later electronic components. This change is the subject of “Od doutníků ke kondenzátorům”, an exhibition running from 5 September 2026 to 31 January 2027. It presents Siemens & Halske and the later Tesla Lanškroun.
Tesla was established in 1946. The Lanškroun factory was designated No. 52. Its old building was demolished in 2025, after around 150 years of history.
Museum staff worked with the owner to rescue objects associated with the factory. They saved the clock mechanism from its tower and had it restored in 2025. Objects like this help tell the story of a building even when the building itself no longer exists.
