Über das Objekt

Sculptures of Reksio, Colargol, Koziołek Matołek, Gucio and Cezar, and Pik-Pok form part of the permanent exhibition. They represent characters known from both drawn and puppet animation. These three-dimensional likenesses are distinct from the original puppets used in filmmaking.

Reksio first appeared on screen in 1967 in a production by the Studio Filmów Rysunkowych animation studio in Bielsko-Biała. Lechosław Marszałek created both the dog’s character and visual appearance. Koziołek Matołek was the joint creation of writer Kornel Makuszyński and illustrator Marian Walentynowicz. The goat travels to Pacanów, believing that a blacksmith there will fit him with horseshoes.

Pik-Pok the penguin originated in a book by Adam Bahdaj. In his television adventures, he wears a pink scarf and dreams of travelling beyond his homeland. Colargol’s literary origins are French: his creator was Olga Pouchine. The puppet series about the bear was produced at Se-Ma-For in Łódź in collaboration with Albert Barillé.
