Über das Objekt

Jan Paweł's manor is the Adamczewski family's home in the series “1670”, built specifically for the production. Its exterior was constructed from scratch at the open-air museum in Kolbuszowa. Major surviving set elements, including the manor, are in the Ethnographic Park's Rzeszów sector. The series title indicates the period of the story, rather than the date when this building was made.

The scene in which an enormous crate containing a clock arrives takes place in front of the manor. Jan Paweł wants to impress the participants of a local noble assembly with it. Later, the clock lands in the mud and explodes at night. The courtyard forms part of the comedy about the owner's ambitions and need to display his status. When the parents of Stanisław's fiancée visit, straw covers the route from their carriage to the entrance. This carefully prepared path contrasts with the muddy courtyard seen in other scenes.

Mirosław Koncewicz designed the series' sets. Comparing Jan Paweł's manor with Andrzej's House reveals two methods of filmmaking: constructing a new exterior and adapting an existing house. In both cases, the museum's space received a role in fictional Adamczycha.
