Über die Ausstellung

The 19th and 20th Century Interiors exhibition comprises the castle's formal interiors, shaped during the 1870-1876 rebuilding carried out under the Paris architect Hippolyte Destailleur for Prince Hans Heinrich XI von Pless.

The route runs through the Great Salon with its Library, through the Mirror Hall with its pair of great mirrors and crystal chandeliers, to the private apartments of Princess Daisy von Pless, furnished between 1908 and 1913. Placing these interiors side by side shows how the residence's representative function was combined with the everyday life of its inhabitants.
