Amphitheatre
A stage and four hundred seats host present-day events below the stronghold.
Idioma del contenido
The amphitheatre has 400 seats. It is a modern events space within Grodzisko Owidz, separate from the reconstructed houses and defences on the hill. Its stage is partly roofed. The roof therefore covers part of the performance area; this does not make it an enclosed hall or mean that the entire audience area is sheltered.
The venue hosts concerts, plays and outdoor events. What happens on a particular day depends on the events calendar, so a walk around the grounds does not necessarily include a performance. The amphitheatre illustrates the site’s present-day role as a meeting place and cultural centre alongside its historical and educational work. Accessible toilets are located by the lower square beside the amphitheatre. They are one of two such facilities on the site; the other is provided by the main building. Their location is useful to know during longer visits and events.
Para niños
The amphitheatre is a place for outdoor performances. Its audience area has four hundred seats, and the stage is partly roofed. It is a modern meeting place below the stronghold, rather than a medieval building.
Concerts, plays and other events take place here. Check the programme to find out when there is a performance. During an ordinary visit the stage may be empty. Accessible toilets are beside the lower square nearby. The amphitheatre shows that Grodzisko Owidz also serves local people and their shared events today.
