Visitor Centre
An interactive exhibition on the history of Centennial Hall, featuring maps, recordings and two virtual-reality tours.
Idioma del contenido
The Visitor Centre tells the history of Centennial Hall through multimedia. It is an exhibition about the monument itself. Its subject is Max Berg's building and the complex, part of which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2006.
Touchscreens and maps connect information with a visual picture of the site. Rather than encountering only a date or a name, visitors explore an interactive presentation of the place. Film and audio recordings accompany the maps, adding moving images and voices to the account of its architecture.
A separate part of the exhibition consists of two VR tours. These virtual journeys include areas outside the ordinary visitor route. They provide digital views of those places, not physical access to every part of the building.
One viewpoint takes visitors high above the Hall and Spire to see the complex and the Wrocław skyline. Unlike the view from the forecourt, it encompasses the whole site rather than a single facade. The exhibition brings together the building as seen at ground level and its virtual appearance from the air.
