Underground boat ride

The flooded section of the Gertruda Adit forms a separate route travelled by boat. The journey covers about 200 metres. A guide accompanies the passengers, describing the workings and the mine's history. The boat takes up to 15 adults at a time, a substantially smaller group than those following the standard walking tour.

The boat ride is an additional activity, separate from the standard mine visit. Passengers travel through water-filled passages instead of walking along dry sections between displays. Children can take part from the age of eight. Advance telephone booking is required to arrange a place in the small group. The history of this part of the adit is explored from the water, underground and in the company of a guide.
