Lubuskie Muzeum Wojskowe

The Lubuskie Military Museum in Drzonów combines palace galleries with an extensive display of heavy equipment. The nineteenth-century neoclassical palace houses weapons, uniforms, documents and personal memorabilia. The collection ranges from the Middle Ages to the present day. A historic sabre, a wartime uniform and a steel vehicle each reveal a different aspect of military history.

The park contains tanks, armoured carriers, artillery, aeroplanes and helicopters. Its exhibits include two SU-152 self-propelled guns, T-34 tanks, an amphibious PT-76 and a Polish-built T-72. Individual vehicles’ histories pass through military units, monuments, school collections and conservation workshops. The single-seat Iskra 200BR records a project that ended with just one prototype.

Built in 1988, the pavilion protects smaller and more delicate equipment. Its exhibits include the Bies trainer, wheeled vehicles, artillery and missile launchers. The palace galleries complement this technical collection with people’s experiences. The display devoted to women in the armed forces brings original uniforms together with photographs, documents and decorations, while the historic arms gallery also presents equipment from Japan and India.

Para niños

The museum at Drzonów occupies a palace, park and pavilion. The palace contains old swords, sabres, uniforms and documents. Some objects relate to the Middle Ages, while others tell us about much later times. There are also items belonging to women who served in the armed forces.

Large machines stand in the park. The PT-76 could swim, T-34 tanks underwent repairs and had parts replaced, and the T-72 was restored to running order after years of service. The Iskra 200BR aircraft is the only example of its variant. A standard trainer was converted so that its pilot sat alone.

The Bies was used for flying lessons and practice. Today it is displayed beneath the pavilion roof alongside other historic machines. Comparing these objects helps identify different tasks: training, transport, swimming or protecting people. Photographs and documents in the palace introduce the individuals who used military equipment.
