This post-war T-34 has a documented film career.

The Mrągowo T-34 was built in 1954, after the Second World War had ended. The T-34 family itself, however, originated as a Soviet wartime medium tank and became the Red Army’s standard tank type. This particular vehicle appeared in the television series “Czterej pancerni i pies” (“Four Tank-Men and a Dog”). With its appearance altered for filming, it played a German tank. Its screen identity was therefore different from the actual origin of its design.
In spring 2012, the museum presented it as a new acquisition following a major overhaul. A moving display was announced in the programme of the Military May Holiday event. Two years later, another demonstration was planned to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Janusz Przymanowski’s novel, again highlighting the vehicle’s television role. These dated appearances belong to its museum career, following military service and film work. This individual tank brings together a wartime design, post-war manufacture and later use in filming and historical demonstrations.

This T-34 was built in 1954. That was after the Second World War, although the design itself came from the war years. The age of a design is not the same as the age of one particular machine. This tank also has a television history. For “Czterej pancerni i pies”, its appearance was changed so that it could play a German tank. Its screen costume did not change where the design came from.
In 2012, the museum described it as a new arrival after a major overhaul. A driving demonstration was announced for the Military May Holiday event. In 2014, its television role was recalled during celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of Janusz Przymanowski’s novel. A machine once used by soldiers and filmmakers had gained another job: helping visitors learn about the history of technology.
