Langue du contenu
The Jelenia Góra layout includes the Town Hall, townhouses, main railway station and Wojanowska Gate. Other models depict St Anne’s Church, housed in a former defensive bastion, and one of the railway water towers. The representation is approximate: the scene brings together selected parts of the town rather than reproducing its precise urban plan.
Arcaded townhouses and mountain scenery are among the local motifs in the exhibition. Arcades are sheltered passages beneath buildings, a characteristic feature of town-square architecture. In miniature, the buildings meet a scene from everyday life: the square refers to the September curiosities fair.
A train consisting of a steam locomotive and three passenger coaches runs around the models. At the station, there is even a woman waiting for a train in high-heeled shoes. This small scene takes place beside a building associated with the movement of travellers.

On this layout, the town has become small. It includes the Town Hall, townhouses, main railway station and Wojanowska Gate. The model makers chose distinctive buildings from Jelenia Góra and brought them together in a scene. It is not an exact copy of every street.
Some townhouses have arcades: passages sheltered by the building above them. The square features a scene inspired by the September curiosities fair. Miniature people fill the square, while the mountain landscapes recall the countryside around the town.
A train moves past the buildings. It consists of a steam locomotive and three passenger coaches. The little houses stay in place as the train travels around the models.
