Adamczycha - 1670
The fictional village from “1670” and a focus for film-location walks in the open-air museum.
Langue du contenu
Adamczycha is the fictional village in “1670”, whose outdoor scenes were filmed at the Folk Culture Museum in Kolbuszowa. The production combined existing museum buildings with new sets, including Jan Paweł's manor and the screen inn. The first season was filmed between January and April 2023. Locations included the Rzeszów sector and places in the Lasowiak sector, among them the space in front of the mill from Żołynia and the homestead from Jeziórko. The screen village thus brought together areas that the museum uses to present two different ethnographic groups.
The two screen manors were created in different ways: Jan Paweł's exterior was built from scratch, while one of the museum's larger buildings was adapted as Andrzej's house. Mirosław Koncewicz designed the sets. Historic cottages and farm buildings became the backdrop to fictional disputes between neighbours. On a walk, visitors can compare familiar screen locations with the actual buildings, beyond the camera's frame.
During the “Cinema Festival at the Open-Air Museum”, on 9 and 10 August 2025, production manager Marcin Michalski led walks through Adamczycha.
