À propos de l’objet

The collection starts with the first Polish stamp issue of 1860. The exhibition covers Polish stamps from that issue to contemporary releases. Its organising principle is the year of issue: successive years form a chronological survey, rather than groups arranged by depicted figures or subjects. This arrangement helps visitors place a particular stamp among other issues from the same period.

The most recent releases are also presented digitally. A multimedia kiosk allows visitors to search for items in the collection. The presentation was designed to accommodate further issues, so its scope is not confined to a fixed end date. Exceptional issues and philatelic rarities complement the regular sequence of Polish releases. The exhibition thus combines a survey of annual issues with space for examples beyond the standard series.
