Langue du contenu
The drinks cans arranged on the wall unit belong to a collection. The children’s and teenagers’ room shows how packaging became decoration. Sweet wrappers are displayed on a straw mat alongside toys and school belongings. There is a large, rigid school satchel, while posters of musicians and film stars cover the walls. School equipment shares this room with things connected to leisure and personal interests.
The computers include a Commodore 64, Atari and Amiga 500. Placed alongside toys, these machines represent different ways of spending free time; the room also contains objects from later decades. Company leaflets and car brochures sit on the wall unit. Like the cans, these printed materials were kept as collections. The room brings together things chosen and collected by young owners, from packaging to pictures of favourite performers.
