Park Kulturowy Osada Łowców Fok
On the Rzucewo headland, archaeologists uncovered traces of homes, hearths and workplaces used by people living beside the water in the Stone Age. The settlement was discovered in 1894. Its finds helped define the Rzucewo culture, a term introduced into archaeological literature by Józef Kostrzewski in 1930. Today's park combines the history of these investigations with reconstructions of buildings and workshops.
The Kashubian Cottage houses displays about archaeological research and the lives of fishermen. Outside, a trail links reconstructions including a post-built house, a partially sunken dwelling, a pottery kiln and a stoneworking workshop. These structures help explain traces that appear in an excavation as pits, post remains or clusters of stones.
The inhabitants built houses on prepared hillside terraces and practised fishing, hunting and craftwork. Their surroundings changed as the shoreline moved: lakes once occupied parts of what is now the bay. Opened in 2013, the park protects both archaeological heritage and the landscape. Its viewing platform overlooks Puck Bay and the Hel Peninsula.
Systematic post-war research began in 1984. The outdoor reconstructions and viewpoint are accessible all year, 24 hours a day. Motor vehicles are not permitted within the Cultural Park. Leave your car in the car park approximately 500 m before the settlement and continue on foot.

Traces of very old houses, fires and workshops survived in the ground beside Puck Bay. Archaeologists, who study the past, discovered the settlement in 1894. After years of research, an entire archaeological culture was named after Rzucewo. Scientists use this term for similar traces left by people long ago.
At the Kashubian Cottage, you can learn about excavations and the lives of fishermen. Along the trail stand reconstructions: structures built using knowledge about the past. They include a post-built house, a dwelling partly dug into the ground, a pottery kiln and a stoneworking workshop. These modern structures show what old homes and workplaces may have looked like.
The inhabitants fished, hunted and made tools. They built their houses on levelled steps in the hillside. The water's edge was not always where it is today: lakes once lay in the area now occupied by the bay. The park opened in 2013. The walk ends with a view of Puck Bay and the long Hel Peninsula from the viewing platform.
