Plac Zbawiciela
A city square recognised by its twin-towered church, recreated in miniature.

The model of Plac Zbawiciela includes the Church of the Holiest Saviour. The church is a recognisable feature of this scene; its full-size counterpart has a façade facing the square, flanked by two slender towers.
The foundation stone of the real church was laid on 12 October 1901. Intended as a votive offering for the Holy Year of 1900, it was designed by Józef Pius Dziekoński, Ludwik Panczakiewicz and Władysław Żychlewicz.
The triangular plot shaped the church's layout. The chapel of the Virgin Mary was placed on the Marszałkowska Street side and the sacristy on the Mokotowska Street side, with the columned entrance facing the square.
The architecture draws on Polish Renaissance and Baroque forms. It is a three-aisled basilica with a transept and a dome over the crossing, while statues of Saints Peter and Paul decorate the front. The model offers a chance to compare its outline with the surrounding urban buildings.
