Ural 4320
A truck from Miass that developed an established military transport family.
A tartalom nyelve
The Ural 4320 was built at the UralAZ factory in Miass, a city associated with heavy truck production. Its name combines the factory’s brand with a model number. The design developed from the earlier Ural 375D, retaining its place in a family of vehicles carrying military personnel and supplies.
The 4320 used a diesel engine, and its introduction formed part of the factory’s shift towards diesel-powered vehicles. Ural-family chassis were also used for tankers, repair workshops, cranes and fire engines, allowing different jobs to share a common platform. In the museum collection, the truck represents transport equipment. These wider family applications do not mean that every version carried the same fittings.

The Ural 4320 is a truck from a factory in Miass. It carried people and supplies, the things needed for work and the army’s daily activities. It developed from the earlier 375D model.
The Ural 4320 used a diesel engine. Chassis from the Ural family were also used to build tankers, workshops, cranes and fire engines. A chassis is the vehicle’s base, including its wheels and mechanical parts, to which different equipment can be fitted. Vehicles with a shared origin can therefore look different and do different jobs: one carries goods, another helps with repairs and another fights fires.
