The Main Salon is the largest room in the manor house, furnished with Empire pieces from the first half of the 19th century. Its walls display 58 portraits of officers from Baron Seherr von Thoss's cuirassier regiment. Carl Emrich painted them between 1727 and 1731. The pictures therefore predate the furniture, bringing together objects from different periods of the residence's history. The military subjects also have a family connection: Andrej Koháry, one of the manor's owners, served in this regiment.

The 19th-century wallpaper is made of paper, with a raised ornament of velvet powder and a printed gold pattern. Alongside the paintings and furniture stands a majolica stove made by Viennese craftsmen in the 18th century. Its elaborate decoration formed part of a ceremonial interior, although the stove also had the practical task of heating it. The room brings together three distinct surfaces: painted portrait canvases, textured wallpaper and ornamental majolica. Each retains its own method of manufacture, rather than reducing the entire interior to a single material.
