A tárgyról

The former Orangery houses multimedia exhibitions of the Jan Potocki Tradition Education Centre. The building was constructed in 1799-1802 to a design by Chrystian Piotr Aigner. It served as a heated winter garden, including for orange trees. The exhibitions explore the Castle’s kitchen, balls, feasts and its former residents’ everyday lives.

Interactive elements let visitors explore these subjects through play. Activities include choosing an outfit for a lady and trying a minuet on a multimedia floor. The Orangery is a separate part of the visit with its own ticket. It remains open during the Castle’s winter break, subject to public-holiday closures and its own timetable. The museum suggests allowing about 75 minutes. It is a different building and exhibition from the Orchid House.
