The first post-war inventory of the garden was carried out in 1951, when a Dendrological and Pomological Garden was established here. Scientific supervision was provided in turn by Prof. S. Białobok (1955-1965) and Prof. S. Kownas (1965-1975). During this period the southern part with orchards and nurseries was taken out for development, and four ponds were built.
Dr habil. Henryk Chylarecki became head of the Przelewice garden in 1975. He carried out a complete inventory of the collection, which marked the start of its planned renewal. In 1976 the garden was taken over by the State Agricultural Farms Combine.
In 1987, commissioned by the Voivodeship Office in Szczecin, he drew up a restoration plan for the Dendrological Garden. The work restored the water supply network, recreated the historic layout of paths and introduced valuable species to the collection.
After the state farms were dissolved in 1992, the garden was taken over by the Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury, and in 1993 by the Przelewice municipality. The figures show the scale of change: in 1975 the collection numbered 418 species and varieties of trees and shrubs, rising to about 1,200 after 2000. The restoration took changing growing conditions into account. The soil had become too fertile and the shade too dense for the heath, so it was replaced by a collection of roses, hawthorns and magnolias. Rhododendrons were moved to the conifer collection, where conditions suited them better.
