Hont: People and Objects

Portraits, documents and publications introduce people involved in Hont's political and cultural life. The historical collections span the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, focusing on the central part of the region.

The second part of this pairing concerns homes and crafts. Everyday objects, Slovak and Hungarian clothing and workshop tools show the material conditions of life from the late nineteenth to the first half of the twentieth century. Together, the two sections connect the region's history with objects left by its inhabitants.
