The Municipal Gallery is a museum branch devoted to contemporary art, showing temporary exhibitions of painting, drawing and photography. It occupies two rooms in the historic "Calvados" tenement house in central Strzyżów.
Past exhibitions have included paintings and drawings by Maria Markowska, shown from 31 March to 15 June 2023, and photographs by Jan Stachury from paraglider flights over the Strzyżów area and southern Greece. Markowska’s exhibition included large-format paintings and drawings by this Strzyżów-born artist. The gallery also hosts museum workshops and meetings.
Visits are possible by prior arrangement over the phone with the museum, since the gallery has no fixed, published opening hours. Exhibitions rotate regularly, showcasing the work of artists connected to the region.
