Lingua dei contenuti
The Freedom and Independence Association, known as WiN, was founded in Warsaw on 2 September 1945. The exhibition presents an organisation whose founders intended to shift resistance to the communist takeover of Poland from armed struggle to political activity. Rakowiecka is part of this history: WiN leaders and ordinary members were imprisoned and executed here.
The Warsaw edition, presented in 2026, received an additional room with biographies. Personal objects include Hieronim Dekutowski's jacket, Józef Rządzki's chess pieces, belongings of Adam Lazarowicz and Barbara Sadowska's embroidered handkerchief. Filip Musiał and Michał Wenklar wrote the exhibition script; Tomasz Maniewski developed the visual concept and curated the Warsaw presentation. Its announced closing date is 31 December 2026.
