Piast Genealogies and Court Memorabilia

Family trees of the Silesian Piasts trace the dynasty's many branches in the exhibition “From the Past and Traditions of the Silesian Piasts”. Images of members of the dynasty accompany documents and seals. The numismatic collection includes rare historic pieces as well as modern examples.

Furniture from the National Museum in Wrocław, mainly Renaissance and Neo-Renaissance, complements the historical memorabilia. These two groups distinguish pieces made during the Renaissance from later revivals of its forms. Family trees, portraits and objects serve different purposes: they show family connections, preserved likenesses and historical forms of interior furnishings. The exhibition opened in 1988, during the post-war reconstruction and furnishing of the castle.
