A route leading from the Renaissance gate portal, past the defensive elements and courtyard, to the chapel and museum exhibitions.

Il percorso

The route begins at the Renaissance castle gate, passes the Tower of Lions and the arcaded courtyard, then reaches the Chapel of St Hedwig. The architecture of the residence connects with the history of the ducal family.

Inside the museum, Piast sarcophagi and memorial objects lead on to family trees, documents and furniture presented as part of the story of the court. Family mementos from the eastern borderlands then shift the focus to the people who settled in Silesia after the war. The gallery of Silesian painting and sculpture introduces the final section devoted to art, ending in Pinotti Hall with “The Story of Moses”.
