O trase

The walk begins at the lynx, then continues past the wildcat to the bears. The first section brings together animals that use hiding places and do not always remain in view. Two forest cats illustrate solitary life, while the bear enclosure introduces water, shelter and seasonal rest.

From the bears, briefly retrace the approach path to the junction. The route then crosses the wooden bridge over the channel and follows the path towards the eastern entrance, before taking the outer path south to the red deer. Next come donkeys, bison and Shetland ponies. This section compares large herbivores with domesticated animals and their history of work alongside people.

The western path leads to the wolves. The walk then follows the fallow deer enclosure around the northern part of the garden and ends at the Polish Koniks. A family pack, annually renewed antlers and the Koniks' mouse-grey coat provide three different themes for the final stops.

Pre deti

At the start of the walk you meet two forest hunters: the lynx and the wildcat. Each usually lives alone and likes using hiding places. Next come the bears, their water moat and their den. Animals have different ways of resting, so you cannot always spot them straight away from the path.

From the bears, go back along the short path to the junction. You then cross a wooden bridge over the channel towards the eastern entrance. The outer path leads south to the red deer, then to donkeys, bison and ponies. You compare a large herbivore with a small horse and meet animals that helped people transport things.

The final stops are wolves, fallow deer and Polish Koniks. Wolves live in families, male fallow deer grow new antlers, and Koniks have mouse-grey coats with a dark stripe. The walk finishes at their enclosure after going around the northern part of the zoo.
