O exponáte

Bedlno's fire station served both firefighting and community gatherings. Its two rooms were a hall with a stage and a rekwizyt, the store for firefighting equipment. The log-built structure has a roofing-felt covering and no observation tower. Built around 1930-1932 for the local volunteer fire society, it was erected under the direction of carpenter Jan Zdziebłowski.

The exhibition represents the brigade's equipment in 1936, when it had about eighteen to twenty firefighters. They used a hand-operated pump, carried on a horse-drawn cart brought in when an alarm was raised, and a water cart. About six metres of suction hose and sixty metres of delivery hose were available. Buckets, fire hooks, a ladder, a fire beater and uniforms with brass helmets completed the equipment. Julian Jeruzalski was the brigade's commander at the time, while Konstanty Ochnio served as its president.
