O trase

The route begins in the vivarium with the green tree python. The next two stops are the blue poison frog and the giant African millipede. This part of the walk brings together three different ways of life: a tree-dwelling predator, a tiny amphibian beside forest streams and a forest-floor animal feeding on plant remains. Plan this section within the vivarium's own opening hours.

Outside in the park, the Eurasian eagle-owl and golden pheasant come next. The story moves from nocturnal hunting to the role of colours and ornamental feathers. It then leads to the alpaca and Carpathian goat on the Farm Animals Trail. These two stops focus on relationships with people: breeding for fibre and preserving an old domestic breed.

The route then returns to birds, first the white-tailed eagle and then the laughing kookaburra. It places a large native predator alongside an Australian relative of kingfishers. It ends with the European bison, whose story leads to species conservation and population recovery. Use open paths and follow current signs between areas; work on the lynx enclosure restricts some passages.

Pre deti

Your trip begins in the vivarium. First you meet a python resting on a branch, then a little blue poison frog and a millipede with a long, ringed body. Each lives differently and searches for different food. This part of the zoo has its own opening hours.

In the park, you meet an eagle-owl and a golden pheasant. One is a night hunter; the other displays ornamental feathers during courtship. Next come the alpaca and Carpathian goat. Their stories connect with people through husbandry and the rescue of an old breed.

The next animals are the white-tailed eagle and the kookaburra with its laugh-like call. Last comes the European bison, a powerful plant-eater whose species was saved. Walk with an adult along open paths and follow the signs, as some paths are closed during construction of the lynx enclosure.
