About

Muzeum Bombek Choinkowych w Nowej Dębie

In Nowa Dęba, glass ornaments are displayed on Christmas trees and demonstrated in the making. The Museum of Christmas Baubles, founded by Janusz Biliński in 2012, operates beside a factory producing hand-decorated ornaments.

The collection contains several thousand objects, including old decorations, trees in different styles, and ranges depicting Subcarpathian buildings or commemorating anniversaries. Glassworkers' tools are preserved alongside the finished ornaments, including a burner from 1953.

The group visit programme leads from the collection to the glassblowing and decorating departments. In the workshop, participants decorate their own glass bauble, trying the final stage of work on an object usually seen already hanging on a tree.
