Outdoor Military Equipment Park
Tanks, artillery, vehicles and aircraft in the museum’s outdoor display.
Langue du contenu
The Outdoor Military Equipment Park brings together several dozen large exhibits. Tanks and guns represent land warfare, while trucks show the importance of transport and support. The Katyusha combines a Soviet launcher with an American Studebaker chassis. A wartime T-34-85 is displayed alongside an IS-2 heavy tank from the first production series.
Aircraft and helicopters form another part of the collection. The Il-28 represents post-war jet aviation, and the TS-11 Iskra Polish pilot training. The SM-1 belongs to the helicopter family built in Świdnik. Other types include MiGs, the Su-20 and the An-2. Some operational vehicles take part in events away from the museum, so the selection on display can change temporarily.

Large military machines stand outside the museum. Some have wheels, others tracks, wings or rotors. Each was designed for a particular task. Trucks carried supplies, the Iskra helped train pilots, and tanks and guns were combat equipment.
The collection includes machines from different periods. Some vehicles date from the Second World War, while aircraft and helicopters were developed later. The Katyusha combines a Soviet launcher with an American truck. SM-1 helicopters were built in Poland. Some museum vehicles can move again after repairs and occasionally travel to events. The display is part of a museum that also works to preserve old machines.
