Linen Department Store
Linen products ranging from fabric and clothing to table and bedroom textiles.
Jazyk obsahu
The Linen Department Store operates on the farm estate. It specialises in linen goods and represents one of the historic property's current uses. Its range develops the theme of a material that also appears in the palace's story of merchant Christian Mentzl. The merchandise occupies two floors. Alongside finished goods, fabrics are available for making your own items. This is a working shop offering useful products, rather than a room displaying a fixed museum collection.
The range includes women's and men's clothing by Polish linen fashion designers. Garments are presented alongside accessories, showing contemporary uses of the same fibre. A visit to the estate provides an opportunity to compare the historic linen trade with today's products. The home section includes table textiles and bedding made of pure linen. Items therefore relate both to clothing and to furnishing a home. The shop's character comes from a material shared by products with different purposes, from garments to table settings.
