About the route

Start at the burgher's house and its façade, where an inscription commemorates rebuilding after the fire. Then explore Brezno's history in the historical exhibition: its privileges, residents' working lives and changes leading towards the end of the First World War.

Afterwards, continue to the former granary at the Lutheran parsonage, home to Literárne Brezno. Mementoes of Martin Rázus and the survey of other authors bring the route to a close with the people who wrote about the town and helped shape Slovak culture.
