About the route

The imperial rooms explore private life and courtly representation. The featured stops begin at the Imperial Palace, then focus on the Royal Hall of Ancestors.

The full programme also includes court rooms, the bedchamber with St Wenceslas’s Chapel, the Audience Hall, the Banqueting Hall, treasuries with a replica crown and the former prison in the lower Marian Tower. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is not included. Visits are guided; these entries explore selected parts of the tour.

For children

The residence tour explores where the emperor lived and received guests. First you discover the palace, then the Hall of Ancestors and the dynasty’s family tree.

The guide also shows other rooms, the bedchamber, treasuries and a former prison. A replica crown is displayed on this tour. A separate programme leads to the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
