About

The new Polonez was created at FSO Syrena in Kutno as a contemporary premium-car project. It is not a prototype from communist-era Poland. Its name refers to the earlier model, but this vehicle belongs to a much later attempt to reuse the marque. Damian Woliński designed its styling. The body was described as a sportback, combining the silhouette of a large passenger car with a sporting character. This describes the design intention, not the engine’s performance.

The vehicle measures 5,145 mm long, 1,950 mm wide and 1,490 mm high. At over five metres, it differs in scale from the popular communist-era cars usually associated with the Polonez name. Those proportions are part of the design, independently of nostalgia for the old marque.

Development was halted, and the vehicle reached WENA in June 2025. The factory supplied it for museum display. It records a particular discontinued project: the designed body and vehicle remain available for comparison with the production cars that once bore the same name.
