About the route

Begin at the Fekiač brothers' pillar, where wooden decoration also serves a structural purpose. Next, the exhibition on Detva and the Vígľaš estate places the market charter alongside products from regional glassworks.

The following stops are the shepherd's camp model and the story of the Vagač family's bryndza: a transition from pastoral work to manufacturing and trade. Then come the Instrumentum Excellens instruments, followed by mementos of Július Juraj Thurzo, whose career led from Detva to the seas and the Danube.

Finish with the wooden grave crosses. The visit thus returns to woodcarving, this time connected with remembrance of the dead and the traditions of Detva's cemetery.
