Idioma del contenido
The SU-152 built in March 1943 came from the Kirov Works in Chelyabinsk. It is one of two vehicles of this type preserved at Drzonów; the other was manufactured in September of the same year. This self-propelled gun combined heavy armament with its own tracked propulsion. Its design used the chassis of the KV-1s tank and a 152 mm gun-howitzer.
The SU-152 was originally intended to attack strong fortifications. During the war it was also used against armoured vehicles. Series production lasted only during 1943, when approximately 700 vehicles left the Chelyabinsk works. This short production period distinguishes the type from tanks manufactured over many successive years.
After the war, both Drzonów examples stood on plinths at the Soviet soldiers’ cemetery in Cybinka. They were moved to the museum in spring 1997. Their surviving components and damage can be compared in the collection. Their history encompasses three roles: military equipment, cemetery memorials and historic objects preserved for research into technology and the course of the war.

The SU-152 was a gun that travelled on its own tracks. This example was built in Chelyabinsk in March 1943. Drzonów also preserves another vehicle of the same type, built that September. Both had heavy armament and a chassis based on the KV-1s tank.
These machines were designed for operations against strong fortifications. They were manufactured for only part of 1943. After the war, the two vehicles now owned by the museum stood on plinths beside the Soviet soldiers’ cemetery in Cybinka. They were brought to Drzonów in spring 1997. Surviving parts and damage provide evidence of the long history studied by museum staff.
